Organization for the support of green and cultural entrepreneurship in Municipalities, Associations and Organisations

The “Regional Network for Ecotourism Initiatives – Eco-action” organisation was created in July 2006 as an initiative to promote “Eco-development in Local Communities”. Eco-action is a consulting non-profit organization which was created to support all initiatives that have as subject green and cultural entrepreneurship in alternative forms of tourism – ecotourism.

Some of our latest projects and developments:

Since our organisation is newly born we are now at the process of forming and participating in networks that are now set. In August 2006 and 2007 we participated in the 2^nd and 3^rd Agrotourism Festival in Chios Island with a stand while we also made a presentation on “regional ecotourism development programs in Greece” (2006) and “development through ecotourism”.  

We have also participated in two networks. The first is called “Iraklioi Topoi” (Hercules’ land) and is an NGO that was established in order to submit an innovative project in Peloponnesus. The other is called “Iraklia Enosi” (Hercules Union) and is an NGO that was established in order to prepare festivities and other promotion actions for the preparation of the “International Hercules Festival” in 2008.

Also our NGO has submitted 5 project proposals for financing to the Ministry of Employment for projects concerning ecotourism development, ecotourism and cultural entrepreneurship and the establishment of info centres.
